Replacing Street Surfing Wheels on The Wave

Waveboard Maintenance

Wheels for The Wave should be rotated regularly and then replaced as needed to ensure the best performance of the board. Street Surfing wheels are the correct size for optimum performance of The Wave and are specially made to last longer than the average inline skate wheel.

Rotating your wheels will allow them to wear at a more even pace and create a smooth and long lasting life for the wheels. Do not wait until your back wheel is extremely worn, by then it is too late and replacement wheels will be needed. Follow the Steps below for removing the wheels for rotation.

The Wave wheels can be replaced using a 3/8 inch allen wrench (included with the board).

Removing the wheel parts:
1. Insert the wrench into the space near the axle of the wheel. Turn counterclockwise.

2. Remove the female axle, the male screw, and the spacers, and set them aside. You will need these parts to put on the new wheel. Discard the old wheel and if you are replacing the bearings too, you can discard the bearings as well.

Installing the new wheel:
1. Insert the female axle through the safety plate and metal structure, then through the spacer followed by the wheel, the second spacer, and the remaining parts of the wheel structure. (See Diagram). Insert the male screw and tighten with allen wrench.

Please check all hardware on regular basis, if there are any loose bolts or parts tighten them immediately. If a part is broken contact info@streetsurfing.com, so that we may help you in getting it replaced and back onto your board.
